Adult Leaners Week

The theme for this year’s adult learner’s week was learning in different ways and we approached this with a variety of activities across the organisations sites. In order to ensure that all staff could get involved at all locations we approached this in a variety of ways.

We asked staff to nominate sessions they really enjoyed in the previous 12 months as well as individuals who had accomplished  training and development and had seen a change in either their own personal development or in the organisations  development.

We allocated a page on our internal web site to the week and added various activities and free eLearning and sent communications throughout the week to encourage people to visit and have a ago.

Sessions included

Polish and Lithuanian Awareness

Cake Decorating

Photography

Basic NLP

We also held Well-being cafes at each location with information games and freebies for all staff who attended.

Mortons

Mortons Out of Hours Club/WLA's held a maths spectacular on the mezzanine for Learn at Work week.
Staff were able to take part in guessing/working out the length of some bunting, the volume of liquid in a bottle, the number of sweets in a jar and the weight of some cup cakes in a container. Prizes were given to those closest to the results. Staff also had the opportunity to enter a competition to win a mini BBQ by answering some questions, the answers could be found by visiting learning websites listed. Many employees entered and enjoyed the challenge.
